Squid Ink Spaghetti with Garlic and Squid
7:55 AMI'm not the fan of squid food but randomly found recipe about squid ink spaghetti so I've decided to challenge cooking it.
The required ingredients are shown in photo below
1. Spaghetti (amount subject to your appetite, lol)
2. cuttlefish ink (also can be called as squid ink)
3. 1 oz minced parsley (I prefer cilantro smell so I choose it instead of parsley)
4. 3 clove of garlic (it does not matter if use 1 clove of garlic, I love garlic so put more)
5. chili pepper (optional)
6. 1 onion
7. Squid ( it can be excluded if you are vegan, it can be replaced by tomato, mushroom or any vege you like)
For squid ink, I did read the comments from netizen about they couldn't find it at their local market. Some of people even online purchased from amazon.com. Luckily, I did manage to get it from Ben's market at Publika, Kuala Lumpur.

Directions :
1. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water.
2. Chop the garlic, onion and cilantro into brunoise, set aside.
3. Wash and clean the squid, cut into small pieces.
4. Add olive oil into frying pan, saute the garlic, onion, cilantro and chili until fragrance come out.
5. Add the squid ink into the hot pan and dilute with a ladleful of pasta water.
6. Cook about few minutes until the sauce reduce slightly, seasoning by salt and black pepper.
7. Drain spaghetti and place into the hot pan, Mix it.
8. Serve
There are two ways for cooking squid ink spaghetti. 1. squid ink mix with flour then make it as noodles, or in another way can directly buy spaghetti contained squid ink. 2. original flavour spaghetti fry with squid ink sauce. I suggest to use the first way If you don't manage to get cuttle fish ink.
-Enjoy-
